Rob took a delivery of 5000m of timber this week which he needs to build the Trench which will be 2.3m high and approximately 45m long. It in itself is a mammoth task, but he does at least have some help with this one. The shrouds will be stacked along the insides of the sections along which visitors will be able to walk. The 72,396 names of the dead will be displayed around the outside. First on display in Exeter from 30 June – details here.

Volker Fitzpatrick very kindly arranged the timber supply and covered the cost. Exeter City Council are covering the build cost – we are very grateful for the level of support they are both giving the project.
